Words of Wisdom

Life's A Game, Play it Right.

Hook and sink.

Advertisements always seem to have some type of hook to  pull you in, usually the opposite sex.
I am supposed to be using 2 advertisements out of "What matters in America".

Advertisement 1:
Stoli. Flavored Vodka

This isn't the exact same advertisement as used in the book, but it is the same basic idea.

In this advertisement they are using young, good looking women, to draw you in and grab your attention.
More likely than not, if you are a guy you're going to be looking at this advertisement when you see it, at least for a second, weather or not you pay attention to the product being advertised is up to you. Heck, you might hate vodka for all I know.
Advertisements such as these seem to make men think that if they drink Stoli. Vodka they are going to be pulling ladies like the 2 in the advertisement; if you think that, you have some major game issues, HAH!

Advertisement 2:

Add 2 is a Vans Shoe Co. for Dustin Dollin, Pro skateboarder.
I couldn't find this add online, and the questions were rather specific... so here we go, AGAIN!

In the advertisement they used a few different pictures to provide a sharp black and white contrast to really grab your attention, and this almost always seems to work. After you look at the add for a moment, you realize what the pictures really are of. The black side of the advertisement is his signature shoe, and on the right he is sitting in-front of a skull backdrop, which is kind of ironic being skaters seem to lose teeth or smash their face a lot. Dustin Dollin is not as well known as most pro skaters, but he is good enough to be known and get his own line of Vans Skate shoes.
Most skaters stick to vans because they are affordable, proven, and just all around nice kicks.
